In the Arrow Diagramming Method (ADM), activities are represented by arrows, and nodes (circles or boxes) represent events (start or finish points). Also called Activity-on-Arrow (AOA) network diagrams.
The start and end of each node or event are connected to an arrow. Between the two nodes lies an arrow that represents the activity. Nodes or circles are the starting and ending points of activities.
Each arrow shows a task, and the connection points (nodes) represent the precedence relationships.
Dummy activities (dashed arrows) are sometimes used to show logical relationships that don't require time.
Can only show finish-to-start dependencies.

Examples of different dependencies

Zero duration, consumes no resources, drawn as dashed lines, and used to adjust the network diagram
